Example of a poorly installed flat seam copper roof. The roof was installed only a year ago on a newly constructed house, the roof had no pitch, but if properly install the copper still should not have leaked. The joints on the flat seam copper were not sweat properly, which allowed standing water to penetrate. We came in and removed the copper and installed a pitch with tapered ISO and fastened ½ inch plywood over. High temp ice and water is than placed on plywood. New 16 oz flat seam copper roof is than reinstalled.
